Lemsip Max Cold & Flu Lemon Sachets 10

Description

Lemsip Max Cold & Flu Lemon contains paracetamol which works to relieve aches and pains, such as headache and has antipyretic properties (reduces fever). The other active ingredient, phenylephrine hydrochloride, is a decongestant that helps unblock your nose by reducing swelling in your nose and pressure to ease headaches. Lemsip Max sachets also help keep you hydrated as drinking plenty of fluids is important when you have cold or flu, however, water should still be consumed along with these drinks.

How to use Lemsip Max Cold & Flu:

1. Dissolve the content of one sachet into a mug of hot/boiling water.
2. Stir thoroughly until it is dissolved, if you wish you can add sugar, honey or sweeteners.

Adults, the elderly and children over 16 years:

One sachet every 4-6 hours as required. No more than 4 sachets in 24 hours.

Do not give to children under 16 years.

Too much paracetamol can cause delayed but serious liver damage. Signs include dizziness, palpitations (irregular or forceful heartbeat), stomach pain, high blood pressure with headache, unhealthy pale appearance (pallor), feeling sick (nausea) or vomiting.

Possible side effects:

• Allergic reactions such as skin rashes
• Nausea and Vomiting
• Abdominal discomfort Difficulty in passing urine (especially in males)
• Blood disorders

Ingredients

Active Ingredients: paracetamol 1000mg and phenylephrine hydrochloride 12,2mg.

Other Ingredients: ascorbic acid, citric acid, sucrose, aspartame, sodium citrate, saccharin sodium, curcumin WD (contains curcumin (E100), Lactose, Polysorbate 80 (E433) and Silica (E551)), caster sugar and lemon flavour.

Warnings

Do not take more than the recommended dose.

Do not take with other paracetamol-containing products.

Do not take this medicine if you:
are allergic to any ingredient
have a serious heart condition
have high blood pressure (hypertension) or an overactive thyroid
are taking or have taken, within the last 14 days, monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI), usually used to treat depression.
are taking other sympathomimetic decongestants
have an enlarged prostate

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you:
are intolerant to some sugars
have Raynaud’s syndrome (poor blood circulation which makes the fingers or toes pale and numb), or diabetes mellitus
have liver or kidney problems
have non-cirrhotic liver disease (liver disease that is not associated with changes in the structure of the liver)
have closed angle glaucoma
have phenylketonuria
are pregnant or breast feeding
take any other medication, particularly:
beta-blockers
tricyclic anti-depressants, other decongestants or barbiturates
cholestyramine
metoclopramide and domperidone
blood thinners such as warfarin.
