Description
EarCalm contains the active ingredient acetic acid, which as an antibacterial agent kills bacteria causing the ear infection. It is used as a treatment of minor or superficial infections of the external auditory canal.
How to use EarCalm
Adults and Children over the age of 12:
- When using Earcalm for the first time, prime the pump by depressing the actuator 6 - 10 times until a fine spray is obtained. Don’t point the nozzle at yourself or someone else.
- Place nozzle tip gently into the affected ear.
- Each pump press administers one metered dose (60 milligrams) directly into the affected ear. Administer at least three times daily (after swimming, showering or bathing). Maximum one spray every 2 - 3 hours.
- After use clean the nozzle tip with a tissue.
- If more than one week has passed since the last use, re-prime the pump by pressing a few times until a fine spray appears.
Treatment should be continued until two days after symptoms have disappeared but no longer than 7 days.
Not recommended for children under the age of 12 years.
Possible side effects
May experience temporary stinging or a burning sensation the fist few days of treatment.
