Description

*1, 3, 6 and 12 month supply only if taking one tablet daily (this medication should only be taken as needed)

Chlorphenamine is a generic version of Piriton which can be used in the treatment of itchiness, redness, swelling, tenderness and irritation caused by:

• Hay fever and other allergies e.g. pet, house dust mite and mold spore allergies
• Nettle rash and hives
• Skin allergies and dermatitis
• Prickly heat and heat rash
• Reaction to food, food additives or medicines
• Insect bites and stings
• Itchy rash due to chickenpox

How to use Chlorphenamine Tablets

Adults and children aged 12 years and over

One tablet every 4 to 6 hours as needed. Do not take more than 6 tablets in 24 hours

Children aged 6 to 12 years

Half a tablet every 4 to 6 hours as needed. Do not take more than 6 tablets in 24

Children under the age of 6 years 

This medication is not recommended for this age group 

These tablets can make you feel drowsy and may make your vision blurred after you’ve taken them. If you experience either of these side effects, do not attempt to drive, or operate any machinery or tools until this has completely passed and you are sure that you are safe to do so.

Ingredients

• The active substance is Chlorphenamine. Each tablet contains 4mg of Chlorphenamine maleate.

  The other ingredients are lactose monohydrate, maize starch, magnesium stearate and the colours quinoline yellow (E104) and sunset yellow (E110).
