Description

Vaginal infections are common among women of all groups, typically caused by bacteria, yeast and trichomonas or potentially a combination of these.

Bacterial vaginosis (BV) is caused by bacteria and is more common than thrush or trichomoniasis.

Normally the pH of the vagina is slightly acidic (3.5 to 4.5) to keep the natural balance of both good and bad bacteria. A change in pH can cause or be an indication of vaginal infections such as BV. In both BV and trichomoniasis the vaginal pH is increased, whereas during thrush (caused by yeast) the vaginal pH is not affected.

Canestest if, used properly, can show whether there is a shift in the pH and using the leaflet provided allows you to check the type of vaginal condition you may be suffering from. Canestest has been proven to help detect changes in vaginal pH with more than 90% accuracy.
