Anbesol Teething Gel 10g

Description

Contains anaesthetic for temporary pain relief and two antisepetics to help protect against infections. It can be used to relieve pain caused by teething, recurrent mouth ulcers and denture irritation. 

How to use Anbesol Teething Gel

Adults and the elderly

Apply a small amount to affected area with a clean fingertip. Two immediate applications normally sufficient. Not to be used more frequently than every 3 hours.

Babies and children over 5 months

Apply a small amount to affected area with a clean fingertip. The dose may be repeated if necessary after 3 hours, up to a maximum of 6 doses in 24 hours. Treatment should be stopped once symptoms have resolved. Not to be used for more than 7 days.

Ingredients

Active - lidocaine hydrochloride 1.05w/w, chlorocresol 0.1%w/w and cetylpyridinium chloride 0.02 % w/w

Other - alcohol, clove oil, glycerol, hydroxypropyl cellulose, sodium saccharin, ponceau 4R (E124) and purified water. 

Warnings

• Exessive use, or short intervals between doses can result in serious adverse afffects
• Do not use on broken or damaged gums as it will increase systemic absorption resulting in systemic effects 
• This product contains ethanol
• As the product numbs areas be careful when eating and drinking hot liquids to ensure you do not burn or damage your mouth
• Consult your pharmacist or doctor if you are currently pregnant , likely to get prgennat or breatfeeding before using this product 
• Consult your pharmacist or doctor if you are taking any other medication as it may cause an interaction 
• If you think you may be allergic to any of the ingredients seek medical advice before taking
